GLORIFIER OF GOD TO BE
Welcome to 09/08 and the GLORIFIER OF GOD TO BE is in Matthew 09/08-
"But when the multitudes saw it, they marveled, and glorified God, which had given such power unto men."
There was a man with total paralysis that was brought to Jesus for healing - "And, behold, they brought to him a man sick of the palsy, lying on a bed: and Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee." vs 2
Seeing their faith, Jesus addressed the root cause of the paralysis by forgiving his sins.
Jesus then commanded his miraculous healing that made him to arise and walk - "(…then saith he to the sick of the palsy,) Arise, take up thy bed, and go unto thine house. And he arose, and departed to his house." vs 6b,7
The multitudes that saw this incredible and instantaneous miracle marveled and ended up glorifying God - "But when the multitudes saw it, they marveled, and glorified God"
All the miracles that Jesus did were not just to make people marvel but to glorify God.
Jesus was able to do marvelous works that end up glorifying God because he cooperated with God to receive and release such wonder-working power.
Jesus wants you to do good works like him that will make men glorify your heavenly Father - "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Matt. 5:16
- You will need to be empowered to perform marvelous works like Jesus.
- You must be empowered to perform marvelous works that will glorify God.
The end result of all your works and words must be to have people marvel and glorify God and not you.
PRAYER
O LORD EMPOWER ME SO MUCH TO PERFORM MARVELOUS WORKS LIKE JESUS THAT WILL MAKE ALL AND SUNDRY TO MARVEL AND GLORIFY YOU IN JESUS NAME.
